Our ethos at Go Run Right is 'Move well'
We have a strong belief based in modern science and ancient philosophies that we all need to move, and move well, in order to stay at our optimal health. In contrast to what we know to be correct is how we all actually live our lives. Most of us are not outside in nature actively running, jumping and throwing all day.
Movement = blood flow = healthy cells
Stagnation = illness
(‘Stagnation’ and ‘illness’ are THE same word in some eastern languages)
In a world of information overload we have become vastly “efficient” at accessing information but are we “effective” at applying all this information and does it actually help us to understand our own bodies? We have endless training methods with specialist equipment such as power plates, to crossfit, to parkour, but if we are not able to perform the fundamentals well, what foundation do we have to advance into these weird and wonderful systems?
The goal we are going to help you achieve at Go Run Right is to understand how your body is moving, what aspects have devolved from your true hunter gather self and need attention so you can once again dance through a 100 mile African savannah like nature intended.
But we can all run, right?
With the advent of structured shoes with heels we are seeing that the vast majority of people have inflexibility through the foot and chronic shortening of the achillies heel, coupled with leg and back muscle not working properly (poor posterior activation). We all need to re-focus and re-learn the fundamentals.
